![]() Just get as many players into their preferred position and role and you are halfway there to be honest, it makes so much difference when every player is playing in their absolute best role. ![]() Since you have no budget to sign players, the best thing to do is create your tactic based on your players, rather than trying to fit players into a tactic you like. Is there any decent guide that lays everything out, what playing styles work with what formations and which formations would benefit the group of players I have? I imagine that if I played badly for long enough then I would pick it up but I would much rather read about it and kind of have a head start, I found a couple of webpages with tips but it was all obvious stuff like "Sign young players" or "rotate players in and out to keep everyone happy and fit".Įdit: Also, I keep getting asked which players should I allow to play in U21 games, can I turn this off as I never want any players to play for the U21s and if I did, I could manually do it or something? They also indicated that I would get nothing from any players I sold so aside from free transfers willing to play for free, I fail to see how I can do this. For example, the instructions page where you make some of the options green and some of them turn red, how do I know which ones will work best with my team? The board (Cardiff City) wanted me to play attacking football so I went with a 4-3-2-1 as there didn't seem to be a standard 4-3-3, the formation I favour on fifa and chose things like exploiting the flanks, high tempo, run at defence, playing wider and work ball into the box and it just did not work, all the players were in positions they were natural or comfortable in.Īlso the board want me to make high profile signings but have given me £0 budget and £0 wage budget (after employing 2 staff I was advised to). It took over 2 hours of playing time too so I don't think I was rushing, I was thinking about each tactic before choosing it. I don't know if I'm looking for too much hand-holding but I've played 3 games and lost them all, these are against teams I should be easily beating like my U21 team or friendlies with lower league teams. ![]() That isn't the experience I'm looking for now, I am looking for a game with more depth but I'm finding it hard to know which option is the best one or not even knowing about certain options. There were a couple of tactics options if I remember correctly but I was pretty successful without too many decisions being made. All you really had to do was choose a formation, first 11 and subs. I had many saves going 5-6 years with different teams but as you can imagine (or know if you played that particular game) there was a lot less to it than the PC version. I tried looking in the sidebar to see if there was any kind of guide or tips as some subreddits sometimes have but there was none so I hope this thread is ok to make.Īs the title says, I had the first Football Manager handheld for PSP and I loved it. ![]() If you want to suggest a team, or ask for suggestions, there is a megathread for this stickied at the top of the subreddit, and at the top of the sidebar above the rules section.Ĭlick to search the subreddit for the following types of posts: ![]() Users should know what your post is about just by looking at the title.ġ1 - No team suggestions.
